How Should Christian Businesses Respond to Gay Marriages?

According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper, a florist has been sued by the Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson for refusing to provide flowers for a gay marriage.

Barronelle Stutzman, owner of Arlene's Flowers & Gifts, told KEPR-TV:

"He said he decided to get married and before he got through I grabbed his hand and said, ‘I am sorry. I can’t do your wedding because of my relationship with Jesus Christ.’ We hugged each other and he left, and I assumed it was the end of the story.”

So what options do Christian business people opposed to gay marriage have in this situation?

1. Withhold service like this florist shop did and face possible lawsuits.
2. Serve the gay customers but pray for God to intervene and bring conviction of sin leading to repentance and salvation.
3. Serve the customers but tell them that you are opposed to gay marriage and explain why by telling them that God determines right and wrong.
4. Change careers.
