How Does the Holy Spirit Give Me Patience?

By - Wonderzone On March 28, 2006

"Hurry up, I can't wait any longer." "Why is she taking so long?" "When will we get there?" Do you ever talk like this? Talking this way shows you do not have patience. Patience is the ability to go through hard or boring times calmly. It is being able to wait without getting restless or upset. If you have trusted in Jesus as your Savior, the Holy Spirit can produce the fruit of patience in your life.

Patience is produced as you wait for the Lord to work and allow the Holy Spirit to be in control. As you go through hard things in life, the Holy Spirit will give you strength to have patience. He will help you accept trouble or pain, even for a long time. God says, "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction [trouble], faithful in prayer" (Romans 12:12). The Holy Spirit will also help you show patience to others who do wrong to you or are unkind.
