A Series of Unfortunate Events TV Premiere Date: Neil Patrick Harris Will Play Count Olaf; Set to Premiere This Year?
Netflix's 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' is looking up, most of the characters has been cast and most importantly, Neil Patrick Harris has been officially cast as Count Olaf. The question, however, is the premiere date of the new TV series.
Currently the only thing that is sure about 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' series is the casting of Malina Weissman and Louis Hynes who will play Violet and her brother Klaus respectively. If we all remember, there's also the youngest sister baby Sunny who like biting a lot, and the character is yet to be casted.
Another main character in the series that was just recently casted is Count Olaf who was portrayed by Jim Carrey in 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' movie, and the comedian did such a good job that the only person they should cast as Count Olaf in 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' should be up-to-par to Jim Carrey.
According to USA Today, Neil Patrick Harris has been casted to play the role of Count Olaf. This is not the first time that Harris will play the role of the villain as he played 'Doctor Horrible' in 'Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog'-a web series by Joss Whedon. If you still haven't seen it; I suggest you should, it's all over YouTube.
His performance as Doctor Horrible was so amazing that you'll feel for the character even if he was a villain and I think that's the warmth that Count Olaf would need.
Currently 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' series still don't have a show runner. At first it was Mark Hudis, but that didn't pan out, and now there are talks that Brad Silberling will take on the role, which is also perfect since he is the director of 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' movie.
'A Series of Unfortunate Events' will premiere sometime this year on Netflix.
