Apple iPhone 6 Leaked in Amazon Japan: Specs, Price and Release Date Revealed
While Apple fans are still eagerly anticipating the new iPhone 6, the popular online retailer, Amazon, has already listed this much-hyped smartphone. A series of relevant details about the iPhone 6 have been released including its specs, price, and release date.
The Amazon page only shows the 4.7-inch rumored iPhone, in sync with AppleInsider's previous report citing a KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo said the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 won't hit the market until next year.
According to the e-commerce Web site, the 4.7 version will have dimensions of 130mm x 65mm x 70mm, taller and wider than the iPhone 5s's dimensions of 123.8mm x 58.6mm x 7.6mm. The weight is supposedly unchanged coming in at 113g (3.985 oz), the same as its predecessor.
The iPhone 6 model showcased on Amazon Japan shows its maximum storage capacity remains at 64GB, with no upgrade to 128GB like rumors have suggested. Moreover, the forthcoming iPhone will run on the upcoming iOS 8 operating system.
However, the retail price is a shock. The smartphone may cost as much as 139,999 yen for the 64GB model, converting roughly to $1,377 dollars - much more than the $849.99 for the current 64GB iPhone 5S. No wonder the iPhone 6 is regarded as the most anticipated smartphone in the world.
Since the retailer said the iPhone 6 will be available by September 30, the device is expected to be unveiled around mid September.
Amazon removed the page quickly after posting it by accident, but loadthegame.com captured a screen shot of the translated listing. In fact, Amazon had also listed Mass Effect 4, before its developer Bioware unveiled the popular video game.
