Hope For Hurting Hearts Earns an Official Selection from the Winnipeg Real To Reel Film Festival

RIVERSIDE, CA (ANS) -- Hope for Hurting Hearts has been announced as an Official Selection in the Feature Documentary category, earning its way to the judging round at the 2014 Winnipeg Real to Reel Film Festival in Manitoba, Canada.
The film festival runs from February 18 to 23; the winner in the Feature Documentary category will be announced on the final day of the festival. Paul Boge, the 2014 Festival Coordinator stated, "Many congratulations to you! It is an honor for us to showcase your film to our audiences. The Festival offers an exciting look into the latest movies to hit the market. Our goal is to bring to festival goers the best in the latest films and TV episodes that will encourage, challenge and inspire us to positive values and to a greater understanding of the human journey."

Hope for Hurting Hearts Producer, Pastor Paul Eaton commented, "Why does God allow suffering? This is one of the key questions of the human experience. This film looks at suffering through the lives of four people as they grapple with that question. Their answer will surprise you."
Since September, 2013, Hope for Hurting Hearts has been recognized as a Best Documentary Winner, Official Selection or singled out for a special "best of show" award at the Churches Making Movies Christian Film Festival (two honors), the Christian Life International Film Festival, the International Film Festival for Spirituality, Religion and Visionaries, the International Christian Film Festival and the World Film Awards. The film recently was honored with the Special Jury Award at the Nevada Film Festival.

Greg Laurie is the senior pastor at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, one of the largest churches in the U.S. Laurie is also the founder and evangelist for Harvest Crusades, evangelistic outreach events that have drawn more than 4.7 million people to stadiums and arenas around the world since 1990. Laurie serves on the board of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and was the 2013 Honorary Chairman for the National Day of Prayer.
