Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy and his wife are scheduled to release a new book on marriage in February 2014.
The book, titled “Uncommon Marriage: What We've Learned About Lasting Love and Overcoming Life's Obstacles Together,” is the first marriage book written by the former Super Bowl coach.
Dungy, a well-known Christian who is currently an analyst for NBC’s Football Night in America, teams up with his wife in an effort to "offer hope, encouragement and practical advice to those who would like their marriages to be better, but aren't sure what to do differently."
Tyndale Momentum, the book’s publishing company, recently expressed its excitement about working with Tony Dungy and his wife Lauren.
"Tyndale Momentum highly values its relationship with the Dungys," publisher Jan Long Harris said.
"We are thrilled to have Lauren join Tony to write about their love story, as well as address a question that even couples in the best marriages must answer from time-to-time: How can we make our relationship stronger?"
Dungy, who is also a spokesman for All-Pro Dad, a non-profit organization that wants “every child to know the love of a dad and for every dad to be engaged in the life of their child,” has a long history of community service and family-based initiatives.
Throughout his life, Dungy has served for the Boys and Girls Club, Prison Crusade Ministry, Family First, and various organizations involving foster parenting and mentorship for children.
