PHOENIX, ARIZONA (ANS - September 17, 2015) - Sun City West (Arizona) resident and multiple award-winning screenwriter Claire Hutchinson, spoke recently at the Phoenix Screenwriters' Association on the topic of "Succeeding as a Screenwriter Outside of Hollywood."

What fascinated most of the audience was how Ms. Hutchinson, after writing 20 scripts that were pitched to just about every high-level and lower-level production company, navigated the maze of the entertainment system to finally land a writing assignment with Shane Hawks of Grace Alone Films, called "Lucky's Treasure," a family-friendly horse drama that will be distributed by Pure Flix Entertainment, which is the same company that produced and distributed the highly successful faith-based film, "God's Not Dead."

David A.R. White use"About eight years ago, I had asked for a meeting with David A.R. White (Pure Flix producer) in L.A. He became a judge of the screenwriting contest I held that year," said Claire. "I submitted an outline to him called 'Cowgirl'. He liked it, but I didn't hear from him after that. After 'God's Not Dead' came out in 2014, I congratulated him on its success.

"Then suddenly, in February of 2015, David contacted me and said he had producer friend named Shane Hawks who was looking for a girl and horse script. David had given my 'Cowgirl' outline to Shane who really liked it and I got the job." The film stars Michael Ironside of "Top Gun" and "Total Recall" fame.

Principal photography wrapped in August and the film will be distributed in late summer 2016. For more information, please contact agent Terry Porter at tdporter@sbcglobal.net .
