Message of Colonial Hills Baptist Church on July 29 - After Church Bus Crash
Message of Colonial Hills Baptist Church on July 29
At the risk of forgetting other businesses, community organizations, and churches (for there were many) who have actively ministered to our church family at this time, we want to thank Chick-Fil-A, Red Cross, McAlister's Deli, Paradise Café, Marsh Supermarkets, Bethesda Baptist Church, College Park Church, Northview Church, and Trinity Baptist Church.
Countless others others have sent flowers, expressed prayer, posted encouragement words, and been a ministry of God's grace to our church family at this time. It's impossible for us to consider this vast network of loving ministry and not recognize that our Lord Jesus' words are being fulfilled - "By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if ye have love one to another." (John 13:35)
We have heard of God drawing people to Himself in saving faith through this situation, and we're amazed in a God who brings beauty out of ashes and makes beautiful things out of the dust. If you have stories to share of God's specific and spiritual work in hearts as a result of this, please share those with us. We'd love to compile those stories to be an encouragement to the Weindorf and Phelps families.
Thank you all for your loving and generous kindness to our church, especially to those families directly involved. God's grace is being found to be sufficient for our every need, and we are grateful for the rich and everlasting hope we have in Jesus Christ - since "absent from the body is to be present with the Lord," we "sorrow not as those who have no hope" for an everlasting reunion is promised with friends and family who have gone before, and in our midst will be our accomplished and victorious Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
NOTE: Visitation and funeral arrangements are still being finalized, but details will be posted as soon as possible.
