Before I expose the three great idols I have been forced to deal with in my life, it would probably be helpful if I first establish a working definition of idolatry. Webster’s Dictionary defines it as, “excessive devotion to or reverence for some person or thing.”
When I first walked into the church I was met with love and grace from people and from God. I asked lots of questions about who this man Jesus was and could He really love me despite what I had done and even will do - the bad and the good. And it turns out He does. After 6 months of questioning on April 27th 2003, I finally got a picture of grace
After getting sober my attention turned to making as much money as I could. I would try to have "healthy" relationships with people and I thought that healthy meant living together and trying to not sleep with other people yet all the while I was stripping and watching up to 5 hours of porn a day on 8 channels. Anything that I thought would make myself feel better I did. I didn't think I was hurting anyone by "taking care of myself" and not acting out with other people.
I wish we could sit down for coffee and have a long chat about 2013 World Outreach. We've recently ministered in Hungary, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Macau, Hong Kong and South Korea. As a friend of Life Without Limbs, you deserve to share in the reward of this unprecedented ministry effort. Lives are being changed for God's glory!
A lustful thought is like a torpedo, cruising relentlessly, silently under the water, straight toward the hull of our ship. Unless we take instant evasive action, we’re in trouble. Eventually that thought will strike.
My friend just went through a major health crisis, and I thought it might make him finally think about God and eternity. But it didn't, and he just laughs at me and says he plans to go on enjoying life. What more can I say to him? - K.S.
Why do you preachers quote the Bible all the time? Don't you know it's out of date and utterly useless today? People thousands of year ago might have found it useful, but we live in a different time. — R.R.
I want to share some steps to being truly changed from the inside out. I also want you to know that they work – because they worked for me. In order to show you how God has changed me from the inside out I need to go back to the beginning.
Why would Facebook want to block Kirk Cameron's efforts to promote his upcoming movie Unstoppable? Apparaently Facebook felt the trailer for the movie was abusive and unsafe and blocked anyone from reposting the link to the movie's trailer.

I read recently that most people decide whether or not to commit their lives to God when they're young, and it's actually rare for older people to turn to God. Why is that? I'd think older people would want to hurry up and make their peace with God before it's too late. — K.W.
Satan hates God and therefore he hates God's people, the church. His great plan for the church is to cause Christians-true believers who ought to be together in the gospel-to find ways of disagreeing among themselves, to divide, to be bitter and jealous, and ultimately to "bite and devour one another" (Gal. 5:15). Here are twelve ways that you can repulse Satan's attacks.
Our global ministry called the 2013 World Outreach is well underway. I have already logged too many miles to count. And today I am at home in between journeys catching my breath before venturing back into countries in Asia unfriendly toward the Gospel.Gratefully, the governing authorities in these regions have shown favor toward us. God has opened unprecedented opportunities to speak in places otherwise closed to Christian evangelism.
Lonely people, hurting people need someone to help them up. To encourage them, to support them, to let them know they’re not alone. Who are the helpers, the comforters for the times when we’re bleeding and need a transfusion of love?
God cares about the lost, and He will rain down salvation from the heavens if we seek Him earnestly for the salvation of unbelievers. Is there someone in your life who is lost? Do you love that person? Do you want God’s best for them? Then plead for them. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict them of sin. Pray that situations and circumstances will be set in motion to cause them to turn to God. Take the name of that unsaved parent, child, relative, friend, or work associate to the throne of grace. My parents are committed atheists, but last Easter some friends took me to church. It was the first time I'd ever been to a church service, and I admit I actually liked it. But do Christians really believe Jesus rose from the dead? That's hard for me to swallow. — P.F,
And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. — 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12
