Greg Laurie: Let’s make history together!
By Boaz Wadel
Harvest America is only one day away. Originating from Philadelphia it will be beamed to some 2000 sites using live streaming HD technology.
Some Harvest America venues will be really large, like Prestonwood Baptist Church in Texas and Harvest Bible Chapel in Illinois, pastored by my friends Jack Graham and James MacDonald. Prestonwood is bringing in Third Day and Lincoln Brewster to perform as well. They will probably have 8000 people.
In Destin, Florida, at a waterfront concert stage, Coastline Calvary Chapel is bringing in singer Francesca Battistelli.
The Sunday showing at a church in Paradise, California, in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Chico, is a combined effort of 28 congregations, according to Marilyn Loder, coordinator of the event. The church, which seats more than 1,300, including in an overflow seating room, is the largest in the area.
Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque is bringing in skater Christian Hosoi and the band Fireflight.
The church I pastor, Harvest Christian Fellowship with campuses in Riverside and Orange County will be bringing in Phil Wickham and the Daylights for the live music component.
Then there will be venues ranging from a little country churches to front rooms of homes, though the majority of the host sites are churches.
And guess what? You can still participate!
