Treasures Ministry: This Woman Is A Liberator!

By Jocelyn Hu

"For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others."

Nelson Mandela

We are passionate about equipping women on the journey from survivor, to overcomer, to liberator*. We are driven to not only see them overcome the pain of their past, but to rise up as leaders and liberators who are committed to bringing freedom to others.

Jessica** embodies what it means to be a liberator!  Recently, she started a sex industry outreach in her community.  Here is a letter we just received from her...

"First I just wanted to say thank you again for doing what you do, and for sharing your story. It has brought me to such a truly loving and beyond amazing path in my life. I am still out of the clubs and I never went back.

After the training, I started the ministry and it has grown a lot. Friday was our first outreach. We went to 3 of the many clubs that I have worked in. People were mostly very happy and accepting of the gifts. One bouncer laughed and couldn't understand why on earth anyone would care about the women. They were all very confused and surprised. One manager said that he had been in the industry for 7 years and had never heard of such a thing.

I can't believe I am actually living my dream and of course it is all because of our heavenly Father and Treasures encouraging me to pursue it.  My pastor even ordered 20 copies of Scars and Stilettos and my entire church read it! Your story is going around the world.

I finally broke up with my boyfriend and I am so happy to be out of that abusive and ridiculously co-dependent relationship. I heard you say that you started going to the Celebrate Recovery (CR) groups for co-dependency on the X Girls show. I thought, wow what a great idea! So, I am going to a CR group that just so happens to be directly across the street from a strip club I worked in! LOL! Go figure huh?"

Jessica could have walked away from her past and gone on to live a life of personal freedom and we all would applaud her.  Courageously, she is going beyond. She is living her life in such a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.

Your support makes it possible to invest in the freedom of liberators like Jessica!
