Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel File Lawsuit Over Cheating Scandal Published by Magazine

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have decided to take legal action against an Irish tabloid, who published what allegedly was Timberlake's cheating scandal. In the September issue of Heat Magazine, they printed pictures of the singer-actor inside a nightclub in Paris, France during the European-leg of his tour. They also claimed that he was being unfaithful while celebrating a birthday party in the place.

The headlines, according to ETOnline read, "Justin Timberlake gets flirty with another woman, It is not his wife!" and "The flirty photos that rocked Justin and Jessica's marriage." None of the photos were reportedly incriminating, but for The Timberlakes it was something bothersome and libelous to the husband's character.

Timberlake filed a defamation claim in Ireland against those behind the articles, particularly on the implication the headlines brought, the photographs that were unlawfully obtained and without permission to be in the premises, as well as the quotes in the articles, which were attributed to his wife.

Shortly after a hearing had been conducted in Dublin, the capital of the country, the lawyers and the defendants reached a settlement, although the details of the financial settlement were not disclosed.

Heat's media publisher, Bauer Media, also issued a public apology to the couple which stated,

"The article was based on an unfounded report regarding Justin Timberlake's alleged behavior at a club following a performance in Paris, to celebrate a birthday and also included a number of purported statements improperly attributed to Jessica Biel, which Heat now understands had never been made by her. The Defendant accepts that the article was false and withdraws any inferences that questioned the state of Justin and Jessica's marriage. The Defendant regrets any embarrassment caused to the couple and unreservedly apologizes to them."

Biel and Timberlake's lawyer, Paul Tweed, a senior partner at Johnsons Law Firm in the UK, said that his clients are "very satisfied with this categoric retraction of what was a false and unfounded story, together with the comprehensive apology from Bauer Consumer media, the publishers of Heat magazine, as read before the High Court this morning."

He also added that the couple will not make any comments or statements regarding the matter, but will not hesitate to file another lawsuit to anyone who questions and writes falls allegations on their marriage.

Biel and Timberlake, who've been married since 2012, have been spending quality time with each other. They recently travelled to Australia earlier this month and took a side-trip hike in New Zealand.
