LG G5 Release Date, Specs and Update: New Details are Here!
The upcoming LG G5 is generating rumors around the internet and here's new information regarding to its release!
Here's the latest on LG G5 Release Date, Specs and Update.
According to recent rumors, the LG G5 features like an iris-scanner, USB-C, a fingerprint sensor, the Snapdragon 820 chip, and Google's latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Unlike other smartphone manufacturers, LG is a little unpredictable when it comes to handset launches.
One thing many people expect about the LG G5 is that it should see a number of significant improvements compared to 2015's LG G4. You should expect to see Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 820 chip featured. It's set to offer greater performance and efficiency compared to previous iterations of the Snapdragon-series chips.
It's also very likely that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be the OS of choice, bringing the latest Google features to LG's flagship handset. Other additional features tipped to appear on the LG G5 include a USB-C port, iris-scanning technology, and the long-awaited fingerprint sensor.
However, additions like USB-C, a fingerprint scanner, and Google's new operating system could still sway die-hard LG fans. It's also worth considering which handsets will be available at launch; it's likely that both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Sony Xperia Z6 will be up for grabs in the first half of 2016.
What's more, Apple's iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will still be available for purchase as the company's latest flagship models. If you're stuck deciding between Apple and Google systems, check out our iOS 9 vs Android 6.0 Marshmallow guide.
Smartphone manufacturers are often accused of prosaic, copycat design, and it's a fair complaint. The LG G4 boasted one of the best cameras on the market, so it's a tough act to follow. It seems probable that LG won't downgrade the camera for next year's flagship, so expect to see at least a 16-megapixel sensor on the LG G5.
According to several rumors, the LG G5 battery will rise to a seriously sizable 4,000mAh battery. However, we'd say that's unlikely, as it could make LG's smartphones a little too hefty. With efficiency improvements coming courtesy of the Snapdragon 820 chip, there's actually a good chance LG may use a battery smaller than 3,000mAh.
The LG G5 is speculated to be release between February to May 2016
