Penang International Book Fair 2014, Malaysia

Penang International Book Fair was held from September 12 to 17 at SPICE (Subterranean Penang International Conference & Exhibition Centre), Penang, Malaysia.
Chief Minister of Penang, Lim Guan Eng, who is the current Secretary-General of the Malaysian Democratic Action Party (DAP), attended the inaugural ceremony on September 12 and toured the venue.
Penang is a state in Malaysia and also the name of its constituent island, located on the northwest coast of the Malaysian Peninsular. It is rich with multicultural histories of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European influences. Georgetown is the capital city of Penang, and was named after King George III of Great Britain.
Today, Penang has the highest population density in Malaysia, is the only state to have a majority of ethnic Chinese, and also has the third-largest economy state in Malaysia. The ethnic composition in 2010 was; Chinese: 45.6%, Malays and others: 43.6%, Indian: 10.4%, and others: 0.4%.
Malaysian Chinese, Ms. Deborah Tang, CEO of Manmin publisher, showcased best-selling Christian author Dr. Jaerock Lee's books in Chinese, English, and Malay. She presented chief minister, Lim Guan Eng, with Dr. Lee's autobiography, My Life My Faith 1&2). The books in this series have been ranked as bestsellers in South Korea and have published by major publishers around the world including Brazil (Naos), and Ukraine (Baruch).

Surprisingly, in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the books have been published with official permission from its government in its vernacular language by Vietnam Religion Publisher (VRP).
Pastor David in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, stated, "It's miraculous for Christian books to get publication permission from the government. I give glory to God and extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Lee and Manmin members who have prayed for us."
Pastor Younghoon Jee, who heads up the Penang Manmin deaf church, also presented book gifts to Chief Minister Lim, which included, Tasting Eternal Life Before Death, Power of God, and God the Healer (the Chinese version).
Dr. Lee's books that have been published by Manmin publisher, Malaysia, and are actively selling now in SNS Culture Trading in Kuala Lumpur, Beng Kai Enterprise in Miri, Forever Lighting in Kanowit, and Manmin Book Store in Sibu.
Kwong Wah Yit Poh and Guang Mining Daily, which are Penang-based Chinese language newspapers, featured the book fair and Dr. Jaerock Lee's book ministries.
As of 2010, 5% of Penang population is Christian and it includes Roman Catholicism and Protestantism, the largest denominations of which are the Methodists, Seventh-Day Adventists, Anglican, Presbyterian, and Baptists.
