Tim Tebow Seahawks Acquisition Unlikely, Should He Move On from NFL?

By Ruth

Tim Tebow is unlikely to be acquired by the Seattle Seahawks, according to new reports.

Even though the Seahawks are looking for a backup quarterback, the rumor for Tebow's lineup has been dismissed, according to NFL.com.

According to The Seattle Times' Danny O'Neil, Seahawks briefly considered the New York Jets quarterback now that Matt Flynn was traded to the Oakland Raiders, but later decided against it.

If Tim Tebow were to play for Seahawks, he would only bring more drama while not being satisfied as he cannot compete for the starting job, says NFL.com.

The Christian athlete may not be pursued by any NFL team, but may be able to secure his career as an inspirational speaker as he continues to make speaking engagements.

Tebow is set to speak at a pro-life pregnancy center in Dallas, Texas on April 26, at an event titled "Involved for Life." And the next day, Tebow will speak at a fundraiser organized by Trinity Christian Academy.

In February, Tebow stirred controversy when he cancelled his appearance at the First Baptist Church of Dallas. The megachurch's pastor Robert Jeffress is famous for his controversial statements on homosexuality, Mormonism and Catholicism.

In early March, Tebow gave a speech at Liberty University's convocation, where he was hailed by students as an "inspirational" and "amazing" "role model."

In a strategic move, some weeks ago Tebow jumped onto a bus carrying Wichita State University's men's basketball team and made a spontaneous speech in front of the Shockers.

The 25-year-old footballer has also reportedly been offered a movie role in Producer David Dginguerian's next faith-based film.

"You have been a great idol for so many by your display of courage and strong faith that all things work together for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)" "That was the theme of our latest film CrossroadMovie.com which is now licensed in Brazil, Africa, Europe, Australia and more. It is touching so many hearts and changing lives around the world."

"I would like to extend to you an invitation to star in my next Faith-Based Film. You are an inspiration to so many on the field and off, and I am certain that your passion will also come through in films," reads Dginguerian's letter, acquired by TMZ.

Tebow may have had tough seasons in NFL, but he need not worry about his future.
